About Me
My name is Michaela Verby, I am a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Manchester, UK.
I founded Clarity Counselling Services to offer a space where individuals can find the mental clarity they’re seeking. Through my work, I’ve found that many clients share a common desire: to feel clearer, calmer, and more grounded in themselves.
For me, clarity means being able to experience both your inner and outer world with peace and self-compassion. This understanding is at the heart of my counselling and psychotherapy practice.

My approach has been shaped by my experience as a counsellor in several colleges across Manchester, where I developed a style of therapy that places you at the centre of our work. Together, we’ll explore your emotions with curiosity and compassion to help you build resilience, strengthen self-esteem, and develop healthier coping strategies—ultimately improving your day-to-day life.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you discover the way forward that feels right for you.

I offer an initial consultation, free of charge, to see how we both feel about working together. Your consultation session will be held on a Zoom video call and last for around 20 minutes. This is a chance for you to explain a little about what brings you to therapy and ask any questions you may have before starting.

I am available to meet face-to-face on Mondays at my office in Sale. Here, we can work in a calm, private and comfortable environment where you can express yourself openly and be free of judgement. Face-to-face counselling gives us the chance to notice subtle aspects of the work—body language, facial expressions, and the energy in the room—helping us to understand what’s going on for you.

Remote counselling allows us to work together no matter where you are. Whether through secure video or audio calls, remote sessions offer the same care, compassion, and depth as face-to-face counselling, all from the comfort of your own space.
